01
Bring the best source you have
Keep the original artwork file. Vector artwork can help for logos; a clean, high-resolution image may be appropriate for other designs. The decoration method determines the final requirements.
02
Write out the important details
Include the exact wording, intended placement, preferred colors and whether names or numbers change between garments. Check spelling separately from the visual design.
03
Avoid guessing at a finished size
Describe the effect you want, then approve actual artwork dimensions against the selected garment and size range. A graphic on an adult sample may not fit a youth piece.
04
Review before production
Confirm placement, spelling, color expectations and the final proof. Use only artwork you own or have permission to use. A digital preview cannot prove fabric feel or the finished print.
